Product Review: Suave Skin Therapy Exhale Body Lotion Has a Lively and Juicy Tangerine Scent
I recently moved, and because I still have some boxes to unpack from my move, I have yet to unpack the box containing the bottle of lotion I kept at my desk. When I was at the store the other day, I saw Suave Skin Therapy Exhale Body Lotion on sale and decided to try it. I smelled the
sample bottles at the store, and then tried the Juicy Tangerine scent. I liked it, so I bought a bottle to keep at my desk.
The first thing I noticed about Suave Skin Therapy Exhale Body Lotion was the incredible smell. Its not overpowering, but it is long lasting and pleasant. The pump dispenser bottle makes usage of the lotion convenient, and the dispenser bottle design works very well. Except for when I first started the bottle, I have not had to give the bottle extra pumps in order to get lotion.
The moisturizing effect lasts sufficiently long, but it leaves a very slight waxy feel, which I assume is how it 'locks in' the moisturizing feel. When first applied, there seems to be a bit of a 'sticky' feel. The stickiness does fade, but the waxy feel remains for quite a while. Eventually, it fades into more of a 'silky' feel but at about that time there is some noticeable dryness to areas of your skin again. I have very dry skin, so I need a lotion that absorbs well and is long-lasting.
I purchased the 18 fl. oz bottle for $2.82 at Wal-Mart. The other scents that come in the Exhale line are Alluring- Sandalwood and Cinnamon; Calming - Lavender Vanilla; and Inspiring - Lime Verbena.
Overall, it is a great inexpensive lotion to keep handy on my desk for regular use. If I was looking for a high quality hand or body lotion, however, I would go with Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Lotion (which is the one I had on my desk and is buried in a box somewhere) or Oil of Olay Quench Body Lotion for Extra Dry Skin (the one I keep in my bathroom and use as a hand and body lotion).
I give this product a 3 out of 5 stars rating.
