How to Plan an Ice Cream Party for Adults
Embed:
I believe that the older we get, the more our love for ice cream grows. When I was younger, I remember going to an ice cream party or two and having a fantastic time. Why should kids have all the fun? If you are an adult who happens to have a love of ice cream, here are some ideas of how you can plan an ice cream party of your own. Ice cream
You can buy your ice cream one of three ways. You can choose to buy various half gallon containers in flavors such as mint chocolate chip or chocolate chip cookie dough. You could purchase a one gallon container (usually found in most supermarkets or warehouse clubs ) that usually contains a mix of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla or you could buy a one gallon container as well as a few half gallon containers. Personally, I would buy a one gallon container (or two depending on how many people are attending). It gives the basic flavors and you're not left over with any flavors that people won't eat.
Toppings
You could go absolutely crazy with toppings for the ice cream if you wanted to. You have a choice between such toppings as cherries, sprinkles, gummy bears, nuts, crushed Oreos, hot fudge, chocolate syrup and whipped cream among others that you could think of throwing on. The best way to handle the toppings is to ask each person to bring a couple of containers of each that you would like there. It can be their way of contributing to the party and you don't have to go broke in the process.
Bowls and utensils
Forget about having to scrounge around your house for enough bowls for everyone. Head to your local dollar store and pick up some from there. You can choose sundae bowls or regular bowls depending on what dollar store you have near you and what they carry. These bowls can always be reused in the future and the best part is, if they break it's not a problem because you only paid a dollar for each. If you can't find the bowls you like (or can't find enough of them) buy cheap red wine glasses (again at the dollar store). They're big enough to fit a nice couple scoops of ice cream. You can also pick up a bag of spoons at the dollar store that will be enough for everyone attending.
