Bad Luck Good Luck

Everyone has heard of the common good luck, bad luck superstitions. A four leaf clover is good luck while a black cat is bad luck, but what are some things that bring you luck that are not as common?

Looking over your left shoulder to see a new moon
Three butterflies flying together
Cutting your nails on Friday
Putting a hat on a bed
A five leaf clover
A bat flying into your house
Hearing a rooster at night
Putting on a shirt inside out
Red and white flowers together
Giving away a wedding present
Violets blooming out of season
Opening an umbrella indoors
A picture falling
Crossed knives
Seeing an owl during daytime
Wearing an opal, unless you were born in October
Breaking a plate
Receiving a mirror as a present, and breaking a mirror
Spilling ink
Breaking a glass bottle
Throwing stones into the ocean
Sitting on a table without at least one foot touching the ground
Starting a cruise on a Friday
Spilling pepper.. and salt

Some of those are kind of ridiculous but they still amuse me. It seems like there are a lot of things that cause you bad luck, but are there as many things that can give you bad luck?

I found more bad omens than good, but there are still quite a few things that can bring you good luck. Some of them are random, but I guess that's why they bring you good luck or bad luck. They are things that do not happen too often and things that a lot of people don't even think twice about.
