These are the articles you wish you'd written.

The top 10 articles on Associated Content are not based on page views, on ratings, or on Content Producer popularity. They are based on the articles that make other writers slap their foreheads in a V-8 fashion and say, "I should have thought of that!"

Or they are the Associated Content articles that touch you in some way. Have you read any articles this year that stuck with you? Perhaps they made you laugh, or made you aware of an important issue, or maybe the article is educational, or maybe it's just a great piece of writing.

Just because you're not on the list does not mean you're not the tops! (Apologies in advance to anyone not on the list.) This was a very difficult task.

These are the articles that I found to be must-reads in 2006. Companion top 10 lists encouraged!

Top 10 Associated Content Articles in 2006

10. The Best Lost Theory You Haven't Heard Yet by Jason Lindholm. The great headline and the interesting theories make this entertainment article one of the top 10 Associated Content articles in 2006.

9. Weird Health News: Doggy Testicular Implants are the Balls! by M. M. Lyons. M.M. is known for her informative health articles and as an ambassador of peace on the forums. The article on dog ball implants is one of the top 10 Associated Content Articles in 2006 because it is just so bizarre it seems unreal.

8. Warning Signs and Symptoms of Internet Addiction by Michelle L. Devon. Content Producer Michelle L. Devon does not sleep, if you haven't noticed and spends a lot of time online: writing, and sharing information and encouragement with other writers.

If you never log off, you might want to check this top Associated Content articles of 2006. It makes the list because it is so pertinent in a world where we spend more time tapping away at our keyboards than doing anything else, including sleeping. There may be someone you know who needs to read this article.
