Dumb and Stupid Laws in Arkansas

Dumbness and stupidity can be found at the highest levels of our society. The law is not exempt from examples of stupidity. And it is found far and wide across our country in each and every state. All states have weird and dumb laws on the books. It is often more time consuming and costly
to have them removed, so there they sit. They usually aren't acted upon but they are legal and binding and can be enacted upon if an officer of the law wanted to do so. Some are actually new and have been used recently. How strange are Arkansas's weird laws? Here are the top five strangest laws in Arkansas. These are listed here in descending order for your entertainment. It is hoped that you would not use them to enact a citizen's arrest! Talk about dumb and stupid!

Number 5
From Little Rock
Flirtation between men and women on the streets of Little Rock may result in a 30-day jail term. - together?

Number 4
Oral sex is considered to be sodomy.
Listen up Arkansas, here is your sex definition lesson for the day:
Sodomy: - noun
1. anal or oral copulation with a member of the opposite sex.
2. copulation with a member of the same sex.
Copulation: - noun
1. sexual intercourse.
2. a joining together or coupling.
So Arkansas created a law to define a term that was already defined to be the same thing. - a waste of time!

Number 3
The Arkansas River can rise no higher than to the Main Street bridge in Little Rock. I guess no one told Arkansas that they can not control the weather or nature. I guess when they say politicians think they are above the law; in Arkansas they truly believe they are above weather, nature and God.

Number 2
From Little Rock
Dogs may not bark after 6 PM.
Does Little Rock have some special dog training schools because the last time I checked, you couldn't control a dog's barking. If you could, please come and teach my neighbors dog!

Number 1
A man can legally beat his wife, but not more than once a month. Ok, this is fair as long as the wife gets to beat the man the other twenty-nine days of the month! Can you really believe there is a law allowing this? This is worth the work to take it off the books, come on Arkansas.
