The temperatures are falling fast and snow has already begun falling in the Rocky Mountains out west. If you have never been skiing in the Rocky Mountains it is time you make a trip out west this year! Skiing out west is much better then attempting to ski on the ice laden hills that the east naively calls slopes. Experiencing powder for the first time was absolutely amazing. It is much more fun to ski on a few feet of powder then a few inches of ice. Sounds interesting doesn’t it? Now if you are slightly intrigued, let me fill you in on a great resort to visit if you are going to make a trip out west this summer. PowderMountain Resort is a premier ski resort located in the Rocky Mountains of Utah and is a great place to go for both skiing and value.

PowderMountain Resort has been voted #1 for both snow and value by the 2007 SKI Magazine Reader Survey. It is also one of the best ski resorts that Utah has to offer. At Powder Mountain Resort, you will be able to do whatever you please for a reasonable price. With it’s enormous size, 5,500 skiable acres, PowderMountain’s size rivals any resort in the United States. Another great thing about PowderMountain is that it is the only resort in Utah that is home to 100% natural snow and NO manmade powder.

This is great because natural snow is much better than manmade snow. At Powder Mountain Resort you will be able to experience over 500 inches of natural snow that falls at the resort each winter. With 113 runs of all difficulties (10% beginner, 50% intermediate, and 40% advanced) riders of all types will be able to enjoy this natural abundance of groomed powder. PowderMountain is a great place to go if you are looking for freedom from crowds and lines. PowderMountain Resort is so big that at times, you won’t even see other skiers on the slopes. Forget lines and waits, ski up and down the mountain all night long, with the slopes open until 10:00 pm.
