Are you looking for a place to take that will satisfy your needs this winter? Are you a lover of the mountains and snow? Do you love to ski? If you answered yes then this is where you need to be to find out where to go this winter. If you answered no, thanks for reading my article and I hope it will help you answer yes to these questions in the future. Anyway, if you are an avid skier, then you are well aware of the difference between east coast and west coast skiing. It is no comparison, west coast is much better. The snow that is offered far exceeds the manmade snow that most east coast places are forced to offer each winter. Not only that, the mountains in the west are much bigger than the mountains in the east which in turn lead to longer and more slopes. Ok, Ill get to it. A great place to go this winter is Snowbasin: A Sun Valley Resort in Utah.
Snowbasin is a world-class ski resort that is more famously known for hosting the breathtaking and intimidating mens and womens downhill and super G competitions for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Enough said right? Well, there is much more. Yes, there are some very challenging slopes, but Snowbasin also offers beginner slopes for those who are just learning. Snowbasin receives over 400 inches of natural snow each year which will provide for excellent conditions year round.
Snowbasin offers 104 runs of varying difficulty; 20% beginner terrain, 50% intermediate terrain, and 30% advanced terrain. Therefore, people of all skill levels and abilities will have the chance to enjoy some of the nations best skiing conditions. With breathtaking views, and snow like youve never seen it before, Snowbasin is a surefire wonderful place to experience west coast skiing. Snow in the Rocky Mountains is something that can only be fully appreciated through experience. I spent many trips in the resorts on the east coast, and yes I had a good time, but when I went out west to the Rocky Mountains, I never wanted to go back east. It is non-debatable.
