DVD Gift Ideas for Christmas

Having trouble looking for the perfect Christmas gift for the animation nut. The Holidays are around the corner and time is running out. Lucky, there are three DVD box sets to choose from that would satisfy any adult child. South Park the Complete Eighth Season follows the continuing adventures of four foul-mouthed little boys in their quaint little mountain town. Ren & Stimpy the Lost Episodes features the antics of the crazy Chihuahua and his idiot feline friend. The Tick versus Season one chronicles the misadventures of the big blue superhero and his sidekick Arthur battling the forces of evil. Any or all of these DVD collections will make fine stocking stuffer bringing a smile to that special cartoon fan.

The three DVD Box set of South Park the complete Eighth Season contains all fourteen episodes of the 2004 season, each one filled with gut busting laughs and smart satire, from children playing with weapons, to a competition for TV ratings. As usual the show pokes fun at Hollywood and celebrity icons with memorable episodes such as “The Jeffersons,” “ The Stupid Spoiled Whore video play set,” and of course “The Passion of the Jew.” The Eighth season also tackles tough political and social issues, such as Immigration, when people from the future come to the present time to get work below minimum wage and steroid use in the Special Olympics. The boys of course, are up to their own antics as usual, confronting a bully from the past and fighting the evil of Wal-Mart. Other adventures include Cartman using his “psychic” gift for profit. Stan must assemble the best dancers to compete against professional dancers in a parody of the movie “You Got Served.” The season, however, does end on a festive note with a zany Christmas adventure involving satanic animals.
