Kids have a great imagination and dinosaurs are often part of their world of fantasy. Creating a dinosaur bedroom theme for your child is a great way to liven up the child's bedroom. What are some great fun and easy things you can do when creating a dinosaur bedroom theme for your child's bedroom?Creating a Dinosaur Bedroom Theme for Your Child: Window Treatment
When creating a dinosaur bedroom, let's look at the window treatment. There are some fun and easy to hang dinosaur themed curtains that you can hang on the window for your child's dinosaur bedroom theme.
Another easy thing to do with the window, use dinosaur paint stencils. Use different colors of washable paint on the window to create lots of fun dinosaurs. You can even have the child help you with this part of changing their bedroom to a dinosaur theme.
Creating a Dinosaur Bedroom Theme for Your Child: Furniture
A few dinosaur shaped bean bag chairs are great to put in the child's bedroom. They can sit in the comfy chairs while reading, listening to stories or even just pretending in their own little world.
You can pin a narrow wall paper border around the edges of the furniture or in the middle of the drawers that has dinosaurs on it. This will have the dinosaurs at eye level for the child to enjoy all of the time. You can then remove the paper when the child is older and you are ready to change the dinosaur themed bedroom to a different theme.
Creating a Dinosaur Bedroom Theme for Your Child: Wall Covering
What would a dinosaur theme be without some great wall covering? You can buy small, stuffed toys that are dinosaurs and dinosaur shaped. Get a small toy holder netting. Hang in the upper corner of the room on a blank wall. Fill with the dinosaur stuffed animals.
When you change room themes, you can donate the stuffed animals to less fortunate children. They should be in mint condition since they were up high for decorating purposes.
Using the same border you used for the furniture, thumb tack it around the top of the walls and in the middle of the wall. The middle of the wall level will allow your child to enjoy the dinosaur theme because they can easily see it.
