Located a Few Minutes South of Central Myrtle Beach, SC

Bubba's Fish Shack is a seafood restaurant and more. Bubba's Fish Shack looks similar to other Myrtle Beach area restaurants, decorated with ocean and fishing themed items. The restaurant offers a nice deck on the front
in which to dine, or a cozy feeling dining area inside.

During my recent visit my family tasted several different offerings including crab cakes, barbeque, baby back ribs, and shrimp. It was agreed that the crab cakes were the best tasting of the ones that we sampled while visiting Myrtle Beach. They were a bit spicier than those served at other locations, but certainly appeared to be of better quality. They were great, but those who do not tolerate spicy foods well might want to avoid them. While one in our group did not like the sauce served with the crab cakes, everyone else agreed that it was great. The barbeque was spectacular. It was soft and tender, melting in your mouth as the saying goes. The ribs also were very tender and came off of the bone easily and could have been eaten with a fork (but what fun would that be?). The shrimp were good but not overly memorable.

As for the sides at Bubba's Fish Shacks try to talk the wait staff into trading all the other sides for more hush puppies. The hush puppies alone are worth visiting Bubba's Fish Shack. The cole slaw, baked beans, and fries were all good, but again not spectacular. One person in my group did think the cole slaw was better than average, but overall it was agreed to be pretty pedestrian.

Bubba's Fish Shack offers a variety of mixed drinks and other beverages, however we stuck to sodas. The desserts also sounded delicious but we skipped those as well.

The wait staff at Bubba's Fish Shack was very efficient and accommodating. Drinks were filled when needed without a delay, there were not too many visits to the table, and the bill was delivered promptly. When asked about the crab cake sauce the waitress explained what it was and gave the diner a couple extra servings to take home with the to go box of crab cakes. Each meal was in the $15 dollar range.
