Sterling Testing Systems is located in New York but hires verifiers across the country. You receive training and are assigned to a team with a team leader that you can ask questions about the files. You are assigned a number of files per day, however, if you dont complete the files it will be assigned to someone else. Most home workers work an average of 20 hours a week. The pay is $8 an hour, which is not much based on the importance of the job and sometimes the lack of files, which means less hours.
When I worked for Sterling the company required their home verifiers to work at least 20 hours a week. This was a major problem for many workers because they dont receive enough files to even get the required amount of hours. Although and unfortunately, the lack of files seem to be determined by what team you were assigned to. I will also explain why I thought the $8 an hour was pretty low. First, there are a couple of other companies that hire verifiers and they pay per case completed. To me this is a better deal because you usually end up making more than $8 an hour, if you receive enough files. One company pays $15 per completed case. I guess in Sterlings case, the file doesnt need to be completed but the more you complete the more you may receive and the more hours you can put in.
