Over and over again, when discussing God, the Bible and faith, I discover a very interesting and reoccuring problem. I hear people say, "I don't think it matters..." "I think this and I think that..."

How many actually stop and consider an opinion besides their own; an opinion more important than their own? No, not my opinion. My opinion meansnothing in the whole scheme of things. I'm talking about God's opinion; God's word on the matters brought up in discussions.

You see, it doesn't matter what you and I think or feel if we are in complete disagreement withGod's Word. If what I read in the Bible is true, then we all better get our lives in order. I'm not talking about being afraid of God. This is not about fear, though a dose of respect for God and His Word would be wise.

This post is to those of you who claim to be Christian and believe in the Bible as your authority. If you're reading this and you're an atheist, I realize what I write is nonsense to you. After all, how can a person call people to revere a book that you consider a fairytale?

Folks, if something is black and white in the Scriptures, you and I have no right to make it gray or make it a point of opinion. There are warnings against people who do such things. When I read where Christians do not really believe that Christ is the way, the truth and the life, I shutter. Though I understand it because I once took issue with this "narrow" way of thinking, I now understand these are God's words, not mine.

As I've discussed the last few days in my posts, man is born in sin and needs a Savior. You cannot be your own Savior, neither can an imperfect person take your place. Christ is the only begotten of the Father; the ONLY perfect lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. This is not up for negotiation, according to Scripture, so when I read, "Well, I don't think it really matters what one believes as long as they believe in God," I have only one choice in the matter - to reject that opinion as not being the opinion of God, but that of fallen man trying to make sense of things. The Bible, you see, is VERY specific concerning these points.
