In response to You Can Tell if a Woman is Crazy Before You Start Dating Her I have to give the counter point. Having dated a bonified crazy man before, I know a few tell tale signs. Please run from any boy who has any of these quirks, characteristics, habits, or personality flaws. It is not worth it. No matter what he looks like.

Just a forewarning. It may take about three dates to spot some of these traits. If you see one or more just run the other way.

He Takes Longer to Get Ready Than You Do
He takes longer to get ready than you do. Now, I know we are in the era of the metro sexual, but this is just not the regular everyday behavior of a normal male. If your potential better half consistently primps and styles himself longer than you on a regular basis you need to run. Run very far away. If you think he is critical of himself, you can only imagine how critical he will be of your personal appearance. These types of men are not to be trusted. They are insecure and put too much emphasis on the physical appearance of anyone they meet.

He Always Wants to Talk about Himself. Always.
Seriously, you are not a shrink. It may seem amazing to find a guy who can talk for hours and hours about himself, his feelings, and his mother (we’ll get to that one later). A novelty in fact. The truth of the matter is though; he will never tire of talking about himself. Everything is about him, only him, and no one else. He may listen to you occasionally, but really he only wants to talk about himself.

You should also understand that once he realizes you are tired for listening to him he will move on. He must always see that gleam of concern and understanding in your eyes. He has to feel special and he cannot do that for himself. So, he will start looking elsewhere. In most cases you will find that he secures his next victim before he even leaves you. You will get the sad farewell and a day later he will already be burning a hole in some poor girl’s ear about his sad life story about how he is misunderstood, his parents are divorced, his Dad is so lonely, his Mom ruined their life, and blah blah blah blah.

He primps too much!

According to this, my current boyfriend is crazy. He meets all but two of the items you list. And I've never dated anyone who ever did even one third of these things. The bad thing is I can't bring myself to break away. I guess that makes me crazy too.

Kinda vague, it worries me that chicks are going to take this shit seriously.

As I went over the list, each point brought up yet another ex-boyfriend. :) I don't know what it is, some kind of temporary blindness... but you nailed it! I should have run long before I kicked them to the curb! Thanks for saying what every girl should all know!

Yikes! Hope I don't ever meet anyone like that! This guy wouldn't have done anything with a knife for fear it would damage his precious skin.

I wouldn't classify this as "Crazy". More like narcissistic. Waking up angry for no reason or with a knife to your throat with statements like "get up or I'll kill you" like one of my best friends did (his ex was really, really off) is crazy. This guy you describe is just weird.
