Britney Spears' New Diet Devoid of Sugar

Britney Spears' Diet Shows Refreshing Maturity; Is She Finally Growing Up?

It was only a matter of time before someone would come up with the Britney Spears new diet, but here it is! Fox News reports that the divorced singer is eager to debut the Britney Spears new body, all
Britney Spears' New Diet Devoid of Sugar
courtesies of eschewing her almost trademark Frappuccinos and sugar. She is quoted in OK! Magazine as having exchanged all things sugar for all things Equal.

The statement that the Britney Spears new diet has rendered her the healthiest she has ever been is saying precious little, given her somewhat toxic past. At the heart of her revamp is a questionable 1200 calorie diet. There is little doubt that it works for her - Britney Spears' new body speaks thin volumes - but considering that the Britney Spears diet is certain to become a staple in the annals of teeny bopper fitness tips, I wonder if I should be concerned.

I admit it, I am biased. To me Britney Spears used to be little more than an airhead who I suspected lived on the quintessential Hollywood caloric intake consisting of booze, cigs, and pills. Thus I read the information and figured sure, she eats healthy chicken, salmon and rice, but she stays away from fruits or fruit juice because of the sugar content! Aha! Or is it?

Even with the most generous of vitamin supplementation, the problems associated with not eating fruits because of their sugar content are obvious, but if only done briefly, the problems will not set in. Then I read on and in the Britney Spears OK Magazine interview it is also revealed that the paparazzi favorite does five days worth of cardio and weight lifting at the gym. Wait...Britney Spears' diet consists of healthy eating and exercise?

Truth be told, as the parent of an impressionable child I am grateful to the 26 year old singer that she at last champions a healthy diet and exercise program. Unlike so many other stars that subscribe to the Hollywood Diet to loose 20 pounds -- and more -- with the unhealthiest means known to mankind, she is swimming against the stream.

It's good to see Britney doing something positive, but I hope she doesn't go too extreme with this new diet. She's not a girl known for moderation.

Interesting take. As someone who exercises daily and consumes between at least 1800 calories a day, I get sick of the 1200 calorie diet. I guess Britney is shorter than most, but even so 1200 calories really doesn't amount to much. Id wither away on a caloric intake that low. In my experience, it seems a little unrealistic. Of course, she is a celebrity. They process carbs differently than us common folk.

She does look much healthier now. But like any "diet" - it's gotta be her lifestyle change, not just something she did for a short time in order to get thinner.
