When you think of stocking stuffers, what comes to mind first? Why, kids, of course! Kids love stockings and can’t wait to get inside one to find out what it has been stuffed with. The best thing about stocking stuffers for kids is, they are happy with anything and you don’t have to spend a lot of money. In fact, some of the greatest stocking stuffers for kids cost under $1. I hope you’ll consider some of these ideas when you fix those stockings for your little ones.

Stocking Stuffers for Kids Idea #1: Kaleidoscope

I remember getting these in my stocking when I was little. These are so much fun and kids just love them. They love watching all the different shapes, changing into more shapes. This is a stocking stuffer that will broaden the their imagination.

Stocking Stuffers for Kids Idea #2: Stickers

This is a great stocking stuffer for kids because it can start a holiday hobby. They can spend the break putting all their favorite stickers into a small scrapbook. This is a fun and cheap hobby. They will be able to get more stickers for only $0.50 from gumball machines.

Stocking Stuffers for Kids Idea #3: Jumbo Candy Cane

I loved gets these when I was little. Pulling one of these jumbo candy canes out of a stocking was always fun. Of course, this stocking stuffer always looks much bigger to kids than they do us.

Stocking Stuffers for Kids Idea #4: Chocolate Coins

Since I’m obviously talking about a Christmas tradition, it may seem weird to include a Jewish treat on this list, but my mom always added these to my stocking and I loved them. What kid wouldn’t love edible money?

Stocking Stuffers for Kids Idea #5: Hand Held Games

Now I’m not talking about expensive hand held games, I’m talking about the ones you find in the toy aisle for around $5. Kids will love playing with these. This is also a stocking stuffer that will keep them busy during the holiday break.

Stocking Stuffers for Kids Idea #6: Puzzle Books

Puzzle books are not only fun for kids, but they’re also educational. When choosing this stocking stuffer, think of child’s age and pick appropriate books.

I wish we had a Cost Plus :( I love the weird candy that can be found this time of the year.

Great suggestions! I love to go to Cost Plus for stocking stuffers. You mentioned chocolate coins: one year I got my son a giant chocolate penny from Cost Plus for his stocking. He thought it was great. (It was probably 4 inches across!) Also, they are the place for "weird candy".
