The Green Bay Packers had a very interesting off season due to the melodramatic antics of Brett Favre. I'm guessing that the players in the locker are secretly rejoicing to have the drama queen shipped off to New York. With that being said, this is a very strong and balanced team who should be a big factor in the NFC race.

At quarterback the Packers have the very capable Aaron Rodgers ready to take over. Rodgers and the rest of the team were done no favors by the "me-first " antics of their ex-teammate Favre. I will bet that Rodgers overcomes all those needless distractions he was put through this off season and goes on to have an excellent year and an excellent career.

Last year in what appeared to be a very minor trade the Packers obtained Ryan Grant from the Giants. When Grant was finally given a chance to run the ball with Green Bay he turned out to be an absolute revelation. He was running the ball as well as any running back in the NFC, and will be probably end up being in a slew of pro bowls.

At receiver the Packers are absolutely loaded with big play studs Greg Jennings and Donald Driver lining up on the outside. They are both big play receivers. The third receiver is the very competent James Jones. they have excellent depth with Jordy Nelson, who would be ready to start on any other team.

The offensive line is very solid.

The Packers are equally as talented on defense as they are on offense. The defensive line is very solid with defensive ends Cullen Jenkins and Aaron Kampman. The defensive tackles are Johnny Jolly and Ryan Pickett. They are all capable of being better than average at their respective positions.

The Packers have two of the best linebackers in the league with Nick Barnett and A.J. Hawk. They may both play in the pro bowl this year. The outside spot will be manned by either Brady Poppinga or Brandon Chillar, Even one of them will more than hold their own.
