You must clear your mind and think about what it is you want to know. The best thing to do is shuffle the cards until you feel you are ready to set them down. You cut the cards three ways then put them into one pile. Then whatever spread you have chosen you lay them out. Some readers have cards memorized and don’t need the book to get the information for the cards they are reading. Others simply have to use the book to know what the reading is telling them. The cards around the one you are reading off of does matter a lot to the whole reading.
