Top 10 Animated Children's Movies of 2006

These are the top 10 animated children’s movies of 2006. These ratings are based on box office gross, user ratings at Yahoo movies, and other ratings sites. Two of the movies, Flushed Away, and Happy Feet are still playing
 in theatres. These two movies were rated based on their performance to date. They could rank higher on the top ten list by the end of the year.

10. The Wild tells the story of a band of animals led by a lion, who escape from the zoo in New York City. This film was released in April 2006, and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, who are well known for top ranked children’s animated movies. Starring the voices of Kiefer Sutherland, and Jim Belushi.

9. Curious George is the story of a curious monkey that likes adventure, but sometimes his curiosity gets him in big trouble. The movie was released in February 2006, distributed by Universal, and grossed over 58 million. The film stars the voices of Will Ferrell and Drew Barrymore.

8. Flushed Away was distributed by Paramount (Dreamworks), and grossed over 60 million dollars. A pampered pet mouse is flushed into the underworld. There he meets Rita, a street-smart mouse, and together they work to escape the grasp of the Toad, and escape the underworld. The movie features the voices of Hugh Jackman, and Kate Winslet.

7. Barnyard: The Original Party Animals, was distributed by Paramount, released in August 2006, and grossed over 72 million dollars. In this film you will hear the voices of Kevin James, Courteney Cox-Arquette, and Danny Glover. When the farmer goes to bed the farm animals go out to play.

6. Monster House, features the voices of Steve Buscemi, Nick Cannon, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Kevin James. Three children discover the neighbors house is really a monster. The children have to find a way to rescue the neighborhood from the monster house. The film is distributed by Sony/ Columbia and grossed over 73 million dollars.

wow, i never thought i would say this but stephan is right, after watching cars 5 times in one day i got addicted to the movie. lighting mcqueen is my new hero. mator is ta-funny, i really love the movie cars more than my car...
