New Years Eve Party Recipes: Drinks
  • Mimosas are always a popular drink. By adding orange juice or sunny delight to a glass of champagne you have created this traditional beverage.
  • Snugglers are a combination of freshly made hot cocoa with an added shot of peppermint schnapps. Top with whipped cream or marshmallows.
  • Brandy or Rum goes well with egg-nog
New Years Eve Party Recipes: CandiesHere are some very fast and easy New Years Eve recipes that are always a big hit. The ingredients are inexpensive and the time it takes to make these tasty treats is only a few minutes.
  • Winter Chocolate-
Begin by melting a one pound bar of your favorite chocolate (i.e. Dove, Hershey, chocolate chips, etc). Once it is melted use a teaspoon and place on a (foil covered) cookie sheet in the shape of a small flat circle. While chocolate is still soft, sprinkle crushed (mint) candy canes on top. Press gently into the chocolate. Let cool and serve.
  • Butter-Carmel Candies-
Cook together 1 ½ cups brown sugar , ¼ cup corn syrup, ¼ teaspoon cream of tater, and a ¼ cup water. When small amounts of this hot mixture forms brittle strands when dropped into cold water add four tablespoons of butter. Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon baking soda; stir vigorously. Rapidly place (by using a table spoon) into an ice cube tray (only fill half full per cube section) . While this is cooling melt chocolate chips. When the cadies are hard take them out of the tray and place them on parchment paper or foil. Take a teaspoon, dip in chocolate and begin drizzling chocolate stripes over the top.   • Salami Rolls-
All you need for this recipe is a package of dry salami, and cream cheese. With a butter knife stuff the center of the salami and roll tightly. Chill until you wish to serve.
  • Ham and Pickle wraps
Take any kind of thinly sliced deli ham and pat dry with a paper towel and spread cream cheese over one slice. Take a dill pickle, dry and place on the ham and cream cheese. Roll tightly, slice into discs, and serve.
  • Egg roll and wonton wraps are a great way to make fast yummy snacks. What you fill them with is up to you but here are a few family favorites.
  1. Combine (small) chopped apple pieces, butter, cinnamon, brown sugar and nutmeg in a bowl. Mix well. Stuff egg wraps with mixture and seal with egg whites. Drop into hot oil and fry. (once cooled you can sprinkle powdered sugar on top)
  2. Combine crab meat, tiny shrimp, (small amount) cream cheese, and finely chopped onion. Mix thoroughly. Stuff egg wrap, seal with egg whites and fry in oil. (SUPER yummy!)
  3. You can also stuff these with veggies and herbs such as cabbage and carrots, artichoke hearts, etc. It really depends on what you like.

Orange juice and champagne is yummy! In fact it is just perfect for washing down the salami rolls. Great recipes.
