Conservative Michelle Malkin and Conspiracy Theorist Alex Jones Square Off at DNC

Michelle Malkin and Alex Jones are two people as far apart politically as one can imagine. Michelle Malkin is a right-wing columnist whose views rankle almost as many people on the left as Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly. Alex Jones, on the other hand, is the head of the "9/11 truth" movement that tries to prove the Bush administration destroyed the Twin Towers and framed Arabs for it just to go to war. With Michelle Malkin on the far-right and Alex Jones as an anti-Bush conspiracy theorist, mixing those two together would make for high powered and perhaps dangerous theatrics. Those type of results are exactly what happened at the Democratic National Convention yesterday.

FOX News sent Michelle Malkin, normally a newspaper columnist, to report on the actions outside the Democratic National Convention. Protestors and anarchists outside the Democratic National Convention are already trying to make headlines, with some trying to recreate the riots of the 1968 convention.

Malkin showed up at a protest for people that want to levitate the Denver Mint on Tuesday. The event was also attended by Alex Jones, the radio host and 9/11 conspiracy theorist. At some point during the protest, Jones spotted Malkin and began to alert the crowd to her presence.

Bloggers and others were able to capture the subsequent madness and post it on Youtube in no time. Jones yelled out that Malkin "wants to put Americans in camps" before pointing her out to the crowd. Malkin has drawn ire in the past for expressing support for America's Japanese-interment camps during World War II.

Jones continued to yell at Malkin and her FOX team as the crowd began to get more vocal. Jones commented that "It looks like that evil is starting to get to your soul" while also repeating some of his 9/11 conspiracy charges. Soon the crowd, which had chanted "Love, Peace and Justice" just a few minutes earlier, began to chant "Kill Michelle Malkin!" Whether Jones actually yelled those words himself is unknown.
