Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 Now Available for Download from Microsoft

Internet Explorer has been one of the more reliable Internet browsers out there thanks to Microsoft, but things can be changed. Every successful product eventually gets upgraded, and Internet Explorer is no different. Internet Explorer 8, the brand new version of the internet browser, was

debuted by Microsoft. Designed to keep up with its main competition in internet browsers, Firefox, Internet Explorer 8 is now available for Net use and Net protection.

Internet Explorer 8 is officially called Explorer Beta 2. It is the second test version of the brand new Internet Explorer 8 system, with the first one being released in March of this year. This test version is available for people to download and try out, but it is unknown if and when a final version of Internet Explorer 8 will be shipped.

A new feature for the Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 is the "smart address bar" which archives websites that browsers had visited in past sessions, based on both the site's address and title. Searching in the address bar for both words and phrases will bring up previously visited sites on Internet Explorer 8.

The Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 search bar also displays real time potential results as the search item is being typed up, even before the person hits send. Internet Explorer 8's Web Slices can detail updated content for a webpage without having to go to the website directly. It is accessible through the Favorite Bar.

Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2's tabs can be moved around to different tab groups, taking on new colors as it does so. There are also options on Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 to reopen tabs if they are accidentally closed.

However, some of the features of Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 have been noted to be available on existing browsers. Apple's Safari Browser contains a Private Browsing mode just like Internet Explorer 8's inPrivate mode, while the "smart address bar" has similarities to Mozilla's "Awesome bar" and the Web Slices resemble Safari's Web Clips feature.

But Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 is advertised as a program with features that work in "user friendly ways" that don't work in the same fashion as they do in other web browsers.
