Are you a talented singer who is deathly afraid of performing in front of a large audience? If you are then this article is for you. There are many singers who are shy off stage but you would never know it when they are performing. Take Beyonce for example, who offstage is a very timid and somewhat shy person, according to close friends and family. But when she is on stage her alter ego takes over, and she has no fear at all.

One way that you can conquer your fear of stage freight is to start by practicing in front of small crowds. This could be a small group of friends or relatives who get together at your home in order to critique your performance. This will help you to become more comfortable performing in front of a group of people. Your next step would be to build up your confidence level. If you truly are a talented singer and performer then you will have to prove it on stage. You really have to convince yourself that you are the best and there is no one better then you. This may sound a little arrogant, but it really is just a way to get yourself excited before a performance.

Another key to conquering your fear of stage fright is to practice, practice, and practice. You should know your performance and music so well that you could sing it in your sleep. Knowing your music well will also help to give you the confidence that you need when you are up on the stage performing. Some people like Beyonce like to pretend that they are a different person when they perform. For some this helps to settle their nerves before going on stage. Don’t think that there will ever come a time when you are not nervous about a performance. Even some of the greatest singers in the world still get nervous before a performance. Another key is to make sure that you not only have the talent, but that you enjoy singing. There are some who are pushed into the music industry by their parents or other family members. If you don’t truly enjoy singing then this is something that will come across in your performance.
