Senator Hillary Clinton Cracked the Ceiling for Governor, Sarah Palin, the Wrong Woman to Fall Through
Hillary, Hillary, Hillary while competing for the democratic presidential nomination, after almost each and every debate with Barack Obama, at the very end in your closing statements you would say, "Wouldn't it be great to have a woman president?" Each time that you made this statement in any way, I would scream back to you from sitting on my bed through my television in Ypsilanti, Michigan as loud as I could-"Noooo, Hillary, it would be 'great' to have a great president!"
If Senator Obama had ended each debate or speech with" wouldn't it be great to have a 'Black' president" he would not have won the democratic nomination. People wanted to vote for the things about him that he could control; --you know like being honorable, whether or not he voted for the war, his economic plan and so forth. He could no more take credit for the pigmentation of his skin color than you can take credit for having a vagina and not a penis.
Hillary, you set the stage for the Republican Party to objectify women in a manner that is more oppressive and exploitive than prostitution and pornography combined in the last century. Senator, Clinton, you provided the psychological and political foreplay for some American voters to be receptive to "any woman leader" and because they are so emotionally aroused and excited that when it's time to come-- out and vote-any vagina, any woman could get the job done.
When you pandered to people to vote for you because you are a woman, you inadvertently, requested that your gender and not your professional qualifications, intellectual ability, and character be the overriding factors to secure their support. You appealed to the primitive, emotional brain of so many unsophisticated American citizens who are not politically astute enough to separate the important issues from the bells and whistles. You tugged at their heart-strings and danced on their egos to the tune of I am woman hear me roar.
