If you have ever stayed up late or woken up very early you have probably seen the Bare Minerals infomercial. I have seen it over and over and always wanted to try it, but it is so expensive I seemed to never have the money to order. Well, for my birthday in June I did splurge and order the starter kit which was with tax over $60. I placed my order and in about 3 weeks I got my package. I couldn't wait to try it out. I am not one to wear a lot of makeup because in warm weather I will sweat it off. I do wear a little in the winter months when I want to wow people. So I got my package and opened it and I was amazed at how small the jars were. I thought to myself I payed $60 for this? Bare Minerals comes with an instructional video and instruction pamphlet. I popped the DVD into my computer and began to watch. It showed just like on TV how the women put on the makeup. There was one annoying thing about the video though; they want you to buy more of their products, so the whole DVD is an infomercial for their other products. Still, I got the idea how to put on the make up, and I just sat on my bed and opened my jars of multi-tasking eye color, face color, tan color and mineral veil. Bare minerals has makeup for every skin tone.
Bare Minerals is a product of Bare Escentuals. The product comes in tiny jars with just 0.02 ounces in each jar. The Bare Minerals products lasts a long time, well all but the mineral veil. You have to use more of it to finish off your face to make it look flawless, so you will run out of it in just a couple of months of use, but the rest does last much longer. The starter kit comes with three brushes, one for light strokes, one for minimizing imperfections, and one for over all facial application.
I sat there on my bed and applied the Bare Minerals products on my face as I saw it done on the DVD. I just had a little hand held mirror to work with, but I applied it very well I thought. Then I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror there and I was amazed at how much younger I looked. I am 58 years old, and I do look fairly young for my age anyway, so people tell me anyway. However, I thought I looked even younger, or maybe it was that I looked rejuvenated.
