When you know someone who shows any form of a symptom of depression, there is no need for them to suffer from their depression any longer. Also, the symptoms of depression often vary from person to person and so do bouts of depression as well.
Common Depression Symptoms
When people, who have prolonged periods of sadness, mope around home, not in the mood to do anything, and feeling sorry for themselves, are prime examples of a symptom of a person who has depression. Also when a person loses the pleasure of doing such things as their hobbies and other things in life this is another telltale sign of depression.
Another prime example of a symptom of depression is a person who is continually a perennial pessimistic about their life and feel they have nothing ever to look forward to even though they have a lot to look forward to. Perennial pessimists often are very negative about everything and this is where the feeling of hopelessness comes into play in their depression.
A person who also is guilt-driven over things that happen in their lives is another symptom of depression. When a person feels guilty, they feel as if they are not worthy of being happy and this causes a loss of their self-worth.
A person with depression will also lose interest in their hobbies or other activities they once found pleasure with. Once a person has lost their drive in life fatigue will often set in and will lose their physical energy they once had. A person with depression will also not eat or get enough sleep which can lead to other health issues in their life.
