Satellite Girl

Yet another track from the Canterbury sessions. A song about two people in orbit around each other's lives, until one starts to fall. Worked around complimenting rhythms with a virtuoso slap-bass performance by Richard Devine in the main body of the song.

Many thanks, Guess. I'm interested in using the vocal as a texture as well as holding the melody. I wanted to go from the 'whisper' style vocal at the start to the big open-throat vocal at the end, to show the widening space between the two people in the song. There is a nice literal quality to the idea, as they get farther apart the 'satellite boy' has to sing louder to be heard. Glad you stopped by and liked it. RG
