Pa's got the fireworks,
and Ma's got the hose.
Billy Joe's standing back,
waiting for the show.
Jim Bob's playin' with a sparkler,
the dog's chasin' his tail,
Pa's gettin' his lighter,
ready to let the first firecracker sail.
Everything was going without a hitch,
til a firecracker landed on the pile of leaves in the ditch.
Ma tried to put it out.
She sprayed for all she was worth,
but a water hose is no match
for a firecracker come to Earth.
The fire got bigger.
All the neighbors came to see.
When the firefighters got there,
they found them having a jamboree.
"You people are crazy," a firefighter shouted,
pushing his way through the group to get to the fire.
He didn't make it very far though,
cause he fell over Pa who was sittin' on a stack of tires...

I use 8 oz. Tropicana Peach Orchard Punch mixed with 8 oz. cold water to make the ice cubes ahead of time, and brew 4 tea bags into one pint of water. Steep bags for 2.5 min. Don't squeeze bags, it makes bitter tea.
By MrTechnical | Published 6/24/2009 | Listen here »
To make homemade iced tea, follow these simple instructions:
Begin with a saucepan large enough to hold 2 quarts. Fill it with two quarts cold tap water and then add 5 teabags of any variety you like. Place it over high heat and heat it just until it boils. Don't let it boil too long or the tea will be bitter and your teabags may break.
Once the tea boils, remove it from the heat and add 3/4 to 1 cup sugar, depending on how sweet you like it. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and then add the juice of one small lemon or about two tablespoons lemon juice from concentrate and stir.
Wait for the tea to cool and then pour in into a pitcher. Serve it over ice and enjoy it on a hot summer day.

(4) thick slices of peeled fresh ginger
(1) 2 in. cinnamon stick
(4) whole cloves
(1) heaping tsp powdered cardamom
(1/2) tsp vanilla extract (more or less to taste)
(1) dash nutmeg
(1) heaping tbsp. sugar
(1/4) cup honey
(3) black tea bags (I use Lipton, I buy it in the 100 bag packs)
(2) cups H2O
(2) cups milk
Now, what you need to do:
1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil
2. Toss in teabags
3. Drop in the rest of your ingredients EXCEPT milk
4. Reduce heat and simmer about 5 minutes stirring occasionally. (the cardamom can stick to the bottom and SUCKS to clean, be careful)
5. Add milk and bring to boil. Take off heat immediately otherwise the milk will cause it to overboil and make a big mess.
6. Strain it, you can use a fine strainer, or a coffee strainer, whatever you've got on hand
Chill (or drink hot), serves four.

At first glance when you see something offered for free on the internet, you might be forgiven for believing that something is actually free, but in reality if it is or not can be highly debatable.
You get to a webpage after signing up for a free offer only to find that to receive your free offer you have to pay for package and postage, this can be a charge of anything between $4.95 up to $59.00 plus, this to my mind is not free, and to me it comes over as the postage covering the
price of the product added to the postage and packaging of it, does this sound free to you, cause it sure as heck doesn't to me. (The majority of these products are on CD and so could easily be given by free digital download with no postage or packaging needed, go figure.)

How often I think of you,
Just every waking moment,
When I rise from my pit,
There you are in my head.
As I drink my first cup of coffee,
With a ciggie in my hand,
You are at my side,
I see your smiling face in my mind's eye.
When I'm washing up the dishes,
Walking down the street,
Picking up the shopping,
Your face just pops into my mind.
The things we did together,
The memories that we share,
Live on forever with me,
Even when I sleep you are always there.

Upon a summer day,
I feel the beams of warmth,

Thinking back to summer days,
Over years of past summers,
Memories flashing in my head,
I smile as I glow inside.
As past happy summer moments,
Rejuvenate my soul,
Past youth floods through my veins,
Life's pains lose their edge.
In the summer sun,
I live just in the moment,
As sun rays across my body spread,
My spirit rises from inside happiness embeds.

Societal cost shift in child atrocity; triangular partnership (corporation, politician, judiciary) place adolescence with mental conditions in penitentiary, not hospital because it's cheaper, to afford big business higher profits. Internationally renowned, psychiatrist, Dr. F. LaMarr Heyrend, is extremely concerned about deterioration of adolescence.
Heyrend backs his claims regarding abusive judicial, corporate and political policy that denies American children health care with extensive research in the diagnosis and treatment of over 10,000 children and adolescence, and political involvement in 18 years as psychiatric lobbyist in Washington D.C.
He developed and tested U.S. weapons of mass destruction, started his 52 year medical career as pediatrician, developed long term relationships with large corporate pharmaceutical companies, and through diagnosis, treatment and long term education he established productive relationships with inner-city gang members.

Iced tea is a popular drink, typically found abundantly in the south. It's refreshing, simple to make, tasty, and full of natural antioxidants.
For this recipe you will need:
3 quart pitcher or larger
4 family sized bags of lipton specialty blend iced tea brew
3 quarts water
1 3/4 to 2 cups sugar to taste
First, bring 1 quart of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add tea bags. Let teabags steep in hot water for about 10 to 15 minutes. Next, remove tea bags and stir in sugar til it dissolves. Set aside to cool, and Put 2 quarts of cold water in pitcher. Once tea mixture is cooled to a moderate temperature, stir it into the cold water already in the pitcher.
Serve over ice with a wedge of lemon and enjoy!

Summer is certainly the time of ice tea, and instead of introducing a recipe for ordinary European-style ice tea, perhaps I should tell you about a little known type of tea made for the summer, the Japanese summer that is: barley tea.
Barley tea is easily found in any Asian market where is frequently labeled as Mugi-cha (mugi meaning barley). Once you find it, just grab any ordinary 1-gallon water jug, pour a tiny bit of water down the drain or into a cup, stuff one bag of mugi-cha into the jug, and throw it in the fridge. Wait 30 minutes and presto! Or rather, in Japanese '" Deki-agari! You've got one gallon of healthy barley tea to combat the blazing heat of the summer.
I won't try to fool you, Mugi-cha is an acquired taste, but if you ever get hot and sweaty, the light, organic odor is a refreshing alternative to Western tea.

Sorley was a bright young man, who was walking on a bright green path, during a bright summer day. His shirt was sheer from sweat, and he didn't really care. His skin was red from the unyielding sun beams beating down on his body. He didn't really care. The path was more important that that. The path was more important than any mere flesh wound or musty drenched clothes. Even the destination was no more important than the blisters on his feet or the dryness of his eyes. The importance was in the journey itself. It was in the heat rising off the ground and warm breeze flowing around his face. The glow of the trees and the bushes and the flowers made everything in the vicinity acquire a soft green hue. This was important.

2) If you're not a water drinker, pregnancy is the time to change that habit. Hydration is crucial during the summer months as water loss affects your electrolyte levels and your amniotic fluid levels.
3) Plan extra time into any errands or excursions. The heat of summer can make adults who are in the best physical condition lethargic, so imagine how that amplifies when your body is functioning for two.

Vanilla Iced Tea: Fill a 2-qt. pitcher 2/3 full of water. Add 1 c. sugar & stir until dissolved. Stir in 3 T. iced tea mix and 1/2 cup vanilla flavoring syrup. Add ice to fill pitcher, stir and serve.
NOTE: Sub honey or artificial sweetener for sugar. Vanilla flavoring syrup is available in regular & sugar free in the coffee aisle.
Butterscotch Tea Shake
Fill a gallon sized sun tea jar 3/4 full of water. Put in 10 tea bags & stir down into water to soak. Put the lid on, then set the jar outside where it will get at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. After 6 or more hours, bring inside.
In a blender, add 3 scoops vanilla ice cream. Pour enough sun tea to just cover ice cream. Add about 1/8 cup of butterscotch syrup. Blend, stirring if needed until you have a smooth shake. Add more ice cream to make it thicker, more tea to make it thinner. Serve as desired.
Add sweetener and ice to any remaining sun tea to drink.

Daddy
How much you have missed
This life is often full of bliss
Though I cannot remember your loving stare
I will always know how you wish you could have been there
Were you looking down from above?
When I took his hand and fell in love
When your grandchild was born
Did you shout with joy?
Did you slap your knee and toot a horn
So all would know
That he was born
Now I am a parent
And feel this love
How could you go without a push or a shove?
I could never leave his side you see
He is my child
He depends on me
My love for you will span the time
With each paragraph
Inside each rhyme
Your neck I hug
Your cheek I kiss
Daddy oh, Daddy
How much you are missed

I sit here and ponder on things,
Wondering what life really brings,
Rambling thoughts bounce around in my head,
I'm alive yet others are dead.
Just what is the meaning of life?
Are we on earth to be good and kind?
Do we come first or last in our minds?
Is greatness ours or mankind's.
How do others actually see us?
As flesh and blood like them or otherwise,
Are humans better than animals?
Do all creatures have souls or not.
What will we leave behind us?
Maybe a gem that will help humanity
Or not as the case might be,
The essence of what we are or will be remains to be seen.
