Wow... I've been looking for some pictures to see what the storm was like, i was in Carbondale High School at the time and it was insane what we were hearing outside, but great pictures!!
I was driving home from WI to KY when I saw these horrendous clouds! I wondered what was going on! I stopped at a rest area to take some pictures of the wicked sky! I did not know the storm was that bad!
Lol Michael! I understand - I was standing outside during a lot of this, snapping pics. I would love to one day go storm chasing.
I don't want you to think I like the damage though. I just like the hight winds, hail, and tornadoes. They hold me in awe!
Loved the photos. You might think I am crazy, but I wish that would happen in St. Louis where I live. I love these types of events and go nuts when they occur. As you can tell I am a weather enthusiast.
As someone who lives in the heart of tornado alley, I can fully understand the anxiety folks in this area endured. Great report.

I would be so terrified to have to go through this! I went through a tornado once in Texas and it was horrific! Great shots!
Great pictures, but terrible subject...
That must have been a very powerful and scary storm. I saw your satellite dish (or maybe a neighbors) sitting on a tree in the one picture. It's just good to hear that you and your family stayed safe and were not hurt. These are really great pictures of the damage. I do feel bad for the trampoline though.
