Hiking alone in the Himalayas is a mystic experience. On the one hand you have the majestic Mount Everest and on the other hand you have the serene abode of Dalai Lama, who lives in exile in Himalayan India, The whole place radiates serenity.

8 is beautiful and serene...reminded me of security and home. 12 is stunning...a glimpse of majesty and quiet, rugged strength. The series reminds of a my trips to the Colorado Rocky Mountains many years ago. I sat upon a large boulder, surrounded by pines, gazing upon the mountain ranges before me and green valleys below. There are moments when I feel as though I sit upon that boulder still, as a younger man, joined with the precious peace of nature.

I certainly agree with you, Suman. I love the additional slides you added to the show. The Himalayans at dawn take on human form.

Dear RM, Yes, it is great to be able to share one's elevating moments, with friends who are able to 'see' things that way. Btw, these 2 photos of the Himalyan brooks and a few others were blown up as posters, and used by Chinmaya Mission for display all over the world. They were also used for their greetings cards. Two National Geographic photographers, who visited us at home could not believe that all these pictures were taken by a simple fixed focus, pocket camera. I feel burdened by carying bulky equipment ,while meandering in the Himalayas. i suppose, when 'Nature supports' as Maharishi used to say, then you don't need hi-falutin' gear ! As a meditator, don't you agree?
