Like most New Yorkers, I was shocked by the March 10 revelations of Governor Eliot Spitzer's involvement in an international prostitution ring. I had voted for Spitzer, but soon after his election, I got the feeling that my governor was nuts.

Eliot Spitzer new he was going to have to leave office either voluntarily or by impeachment. New York will be sad to see him leave but the government will continue as usual. Eliot Spitzer will be replaced as governor by now Lt. Governor David Paterson on Monday.
