iRobot broke into the public market a few years ago with the Roomba, self powered, robotic vacuum. Since then, millions of homes have purchased one. I did, and I will give this review to you, to help you make the decision to buy a Roomba or not.

iRobot introduced the Roomba line of robotic vacuum cleaners in 2002. Since then over 2 million Roombas have been sold making the little round vacuum cleaner one of the best selling consumer robots in history.

The iRobot Roomba 4210 Discovery Floorvac Robotic Vacuum is a better model that the original Roomba vacuum. It is a wonderful tool for those that are too busy to take on the task themselves!

The newest of its "home robots," the iRobot Scooba is a floor washing robot that preps, washes, scrubs, and dries sealed hardwood, linoleum, and tile or marble floors. I took the Scooba out for a test run, and really put it through its paces.

Overall, Roomba is a cool little gadget that does a good job vacuuming your floors. I do not recommend it as a useful tool, since the effort to maintain Roomba does not save much time versus traditional vacuuming. I do recommend Roomba as a cool gadget.

We've had our eye on the vacuum that will clean for you for quite some time. The iRobot Roomba was it's name, and when it first came out, $500 was not our game. So with time, the robot vacuum improved, and the price did too.
