A proposed "Hate Crimes" Bill in the United States, designed to protect certain groups against violence, could actually be used to attack the free speech of Christians, experts say.

What is a "Hate Crime"? The dictionary defines it as "any of various crimes...motivated by hostility to the victim as a member of a group which is based on color, creed, gender, or sexual orientation."

Sometimes in the defense of freedom, we forget that freedom comes with responsibility and in the case of protests at the funerals of fallen soldiers, it is our responsibilty to stop the hate crimes being perpetrated on the American military.

That's so gay. These three little words would land Rebekah in the Principal's office and later spark a courtroom battle over free speech, First Amendment Rights, hate speech and where we should draw the line in schools today.

We are presently facing ridiculous, unconstitutional legislation involving the falsehoods of "hate crimes" and "hate speech." They are almost always designed to eliminate the First Amendment right to freedom of speech.

Recent racially charged incidents, and the ugly underbelly of gay rights sentiments, have pushed the issue of hate crimes to the fore.
