I am desperate to become a "professional" blogger. I have two young children and have found blogging to be the ideal home-business for balancing my business and family life. I am sharing this initial goal of mine because it launched me head first into mistake #1.
Spring is here. Now that it is finally warm enough for my kids to play outside, the big challenge is keeping them outside.
Spring is in the air and chances are you've spent the last few weeks cleaning, de-cluttering and getting ready for an upcoming yard sale. Before you place a five-cent sticker on your garage sale garbage, take a moment to think about some fresh uses for your old stuff...
Believe it or not, you don't need to be a professional artist or painter to create a one-of-a-kind mural in your home for spring. Imagine a field of flowers, a fruit basket or cheerful balloons freshening up a boring room in your home.
....this time was different. I didn't want to be pregnant. I couldn't be pregnant. I barely figured out how to take care of this one..much less another one.
Can you imagine a complaint free world? "Really, honey...dinner was fantastic tonight". "Uh huh...sure it was."
There is a disorder for everything today. Here's one you may suffer from without even knowing it - S.A.H.G.S. (Stay at Home Mom Guilt Syndrome).
Admit it. We've all done it. You were anxious to get organized and you purchased those plastic or canvas shoe files, didn't you? At first, they worked great. You had all of your shoes neatly sorted into the little pockets...
Are you thinking about joining a direct sales / party plan company? If so, you've probably spent a considerable amount of time deciding what type of product you want to sell and how much time you want to devote to your new business.
Sometimes the best role models are the ones who show us what not to do...
...I can't turn away from another billboard which depicts the scabbed face of a young man that looks like he was assaulted with a cheese grater. It says, "actually doing meth won't make it easier to hook up".
I admit. I am starting with a selfish assignment. I have two preschoolers. They are fun, creative and energetic. They make me laugh non-stop. That being said, I desperately need a little "me-time".
I recently read an article in a popular business magazine which suggested that the website Myspace.com is one of the most effective ways to promote a small business. After reading the article, I decided to make a deal with the devil...
A simple seven step guide to help you learn how to freezer cook. (Otherwise known as OAMC, Budget Cooking, Freezer Cooking and Bulk Cooking)
I can't live without my morning cup of coffee. Here was my routine before I purchased a Senseo coffee maker by Phillips...
A friend called me this afternoon as she was driving home on her first day back from maternity leave to nurse her newborn son during her lunch break. She was clearly desperate, miserable, guilt-ridden and devastated...
I literally gasped out loud last night when I was watching the O'Reilly show and his commentary on the Shawn Hornbeck case. Did Bill O'Reilly really suggest that Shawn Hornbeck actually enjoyed his predicament? Here is what he said,
I worked in an office that was comprised of about 95% women. Most of them were young mothers. I threw the first grenade in my own "mommy war" when I proudly announced my intention to quit my job and work from home...
If you are reading this after the Holidays, odds are you have a few Christmas gifts you weren't thrilled about. Rather than selling them at a garage sale, or stockpiling them in a storage shed...regift them.
My husband's friend, partner and co-worker (a fellow police officer) died this morning after being involved in a horrific car accident. Tragedies like this one have a way of making us reflect upon our dearest relationships.
