I have been a writer, editor, and photographer for weekly and daily newspapers, monthly magazines, & newsletters. I served an internship in the Illinois Statehouse pressroom. I also taught college journalism, copy editing, publication design, grammar & compositon.

Education/Experience: BS, mass communications (major), political science (minor), Illinois State University; MA, public affairs reporting, University of Illinois at Springfield; nearing completion of MA in public history, University of Illinois at Springfield
