How to Rest in an Uptempo Situation

This video shows how to rest your hand in an uptempo jazz situation. In an uptempo jazz situation, your hand that rides does not get alot of rest. This video shows methods that give your right hand a rest while you are playing, whether it be playing quarter notes on the ride cymbal, or incorporating the double stroke roll into the groove.
