Thank you. I had more success with opening the cartridges by pushing in, rather than pulling on it.

The cartridges are green on the left and black on the right, they sit in a white cartridge container. I am not able to lift either one of them up. What do you suggest?

Recently, my friend gave me an HP Officejet 7310xi All-in-one printer. I lifted up the top of the unit, to see the ink cartridges on the right. But, I was unable to get the cartridges out. So, I don't know how to get them out. I did break my finger nail in an effort to do so; but had no luck getting the cartridges out. Can you tell me how? Also, can you send me an instruction manual on how to use the other functions on it; as I do not have a manual. My email address is: Gailzpuppy@verizon.net and my home address is: Gail Moorman, 1272 Prophet Rd., Goode, Va. 24556 Thank you

Thanks a lot for the assistance - it was extremely helpful but one little step I altered -> instead of "pulling" the latch, i "pushed" it in - all in all, wonderful - i wouldn't discover that much on my own (email: bizzyhero@yahoo.com)
