Come with me on a twenty-mile ride to Lake Johnson, high in the Pecos Wilderness of Northern New Mexico where one can still see deer, elk, and bear. My horse, Teyla, is a sturdy appaloosa mare from the Navajo nation whose as surefooted as a mountain goat. We're being trailed by Australian Cattle Dog, Matilda, the best breed of dog in the world. My husband is riding his Polish Arabian horse. Can you feel the cool breeze off of the alpine lake? Hear the whisper of the pine and the aspen in the forest?
