Kids and Horses: Learning to Post at a Riding Lesson
By Kimberly West, published Jan 22, 2007Learning to post on your horse or pony for the first time can be hard, but it can also be exhilirating as you learn to rise up our of your saddle with every other beat of your horse's trot. Learning to post on a pony is a little more difficult than on a horse, because ponies have such little legs and short strides. The important thing is to listen to your riding instructor and keep trying! And always remember--Safety First. Please wear a helmet when riding.
