How to Watercolor Paint Blended Colors In One Stroke
Watch Master Artist in Action
By ptosis, published Feb 13, 2007There is a method of painting called "Point Loading" where one color is loaded onto the brush, the excess daubed off, then the tip of the brush point is dipped into a different color. A different method is to use a very wide brush and dip each corner into different colors. The artist in this video has handmade his own "brushes" from paper clips holding a sponge like material and the handles are made from wrapped rubber bands.
The master artist loads the paper clip "brush" with three colors by dipping each corner into a different color and then applying the middle color by using the edge of the paint container as a palette. The video shows a controlled swirled brush stroke with blended three colors.
