....................because if you read the main ingredients on the bag, they match. Is there any difference? Sometimes I think their meat tastes old or generic, not always but sometimes.

I would like to know if the Banquet Crock-Pot Classic BEEF POT ROAST and the HEARTY BEEF AND VEGETABLES are really the EXACT SAME? It seems to me they ARE but if so then why are they selling them as two different bagged crock-pot classics?

This is pretty much a video of the instructions on the back. You don't need a crock-pot (or 8 hours) for this. Cook the initial ingredients to a boil, then simmer covered for 20 minutes. Add potatoes and cook 10 minutes. The frozen potatoes are pretty awful; I'd recommend a large baker or two small red potatoes instead (diced into pieces the same size as the provided ones, of course). For a quick and easy curry chicken, use the chicken w/potatoes or chicken & dumplings (I think the dumplings version works better, I use my own potato instead of the dumplings anyway), and add a tablespoon of curry powder with the potatoes. This makes a mild curry chicken, and doesn't make the house smell like an Indian restaurant.

Wouldn't it have been just as easy to put real food in the crock and let it simnmer? This is why Crock Pots get such a bad rap. The more fake food you put in a crock pot, the worse its reputation becomes.
