What is October known for?
Billy Collins' poem "Snow Day" encompasses numerous images corresponding to war, soldiers, and peace. These images describe a "vanished" place that once was there.
The title says basically what this poem is about.
I see this poem as "we will never forget" (9/11). It's a day after September 11, 2009 &I found myself lingering in this 1moment from yesterday, which I used to write this quick, short poem as a memory of September 11, 2001.
Through the greenest places on the earth, I walk not knowing where I will end up.
